What would you
like to know?

How the app works, where its information comes from, and what it can—and cannot—do.

i.Is this safe? Megadose protocols sound risky.

olivetwell provides educational reference material; it does not establish that megadose supplementation is safe for everyone. Risks depend on the nutrient, dose, medical conditions and medications. Poison-control records include serious and fatal supplement exposures, so safety claims require specific evidence, attention to interactions and qualified clinical review.

ii.How is this different from asking ChatGPT?

olivetwell is designed to combine a curated orthomolecular reference library with supplement-stack records, laboratory context, structured N=1 tracking, trends and lessons. Its value is organized context and links to identifiable sources. General assistants can also cite papers; the stated distinction is the dedicated health-record and literature workflow, not guaranteed correctness.

iii.Can I share answers with my doctor?

Yes. Source-linked educational answers are intended to support discussions with a qualified clinician. Share the original publication, its date and study design, together with your laboratory report, medications and supplement record. A citation makes the claim inspectable; it does not by itself validate a treatment or replace clinical judgment.

iv.Is my data private? Who sees it?

olivetwell’s privacy policy describes account, health and conversation data stored or processed to provide the service, including cloud storage and named AI subprocessors. Website waitlist and referral records are also processed on the server. The service is not a HIPAA-covered entity; its published policy explains retention, sharing and user choices.

v.Will it tell me to stop my prescriptions?

No. olivetwell’s stated role is educational support alongside conventional medical care. It should not instruct users to stop prescribed medication or independently change a regimen. Medication decisions, including any taper, belong with the prescribing clinician, who can evaluate benefits, risks, interactions and the person’s individual clinical circumstances.

vi.Is OlivetWell (olivetwell.com) affiliated with OLIV Well (olivwell.co) or the Olive food scanner app?

No. OlivetWell (spelled with a 't' and operated exclusively at olivetwell.com) is an independent orthomolecular research, blood-lab range comparison, and supplement stack auditing application grounded in peer-reviewed nutritional biochemistry. We do not operate a prescription compounding telehealth service and have no affiliation with OLIV Well (olivwell.co), DrTelx, or the Olive grocery barcode-scanning app.
